You will manage and oversee all aspects of work-related injury claims. This role is critical in ensuring timely and accurate handling of workers’ compensation cases, maintaining compliance, and supporting injured employees through the recovery and return-to-work process.
As a concrete pumping company, we operate in a high-risk environment, and this position requires a laser focus on injury claim management, communication with stakeholders, and meticulous recordkeeping.

Key Responsibilities:
- Claims Management:
- Handle all aspects of workers’ compensation claims from the initial report through closure.
- Investigate incidents, gather documentation, and determine compensability.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date claim files and documentation.
- Communication & Coordination:
- Serve as the primary liaison between the company, insurance carriers, third-party administrators (TPAs), healthcare providers, and injured employees.
- Coordinate medical appointments and ensure compliance with treatment plans.
- Communicate with internal branches to determine availability of restricted/light duty assignments.
- Return-to-Work Program:
- Collaborate with supervisors and HR to facilitate modified duty or transitional work opportunities.
- Monitor employee progress and ensure timely return to full duty when appropriate.
- Compliance & Recordkeeping:
- Ensure compliance with state and federal workers’ compensation laws and reporting requirements.
- Track and document all financial aspects of claims, including wage replacement, medical expenses, and restricted duty compensation.
- Maintain detailed records for audits and internal reporting.
- Risk Mitigation:
- Identify trends and recommend improvements to reduce workplace injuries.
- Support safety initiatives and participate in incident reviews
Qualifications:
- Proven experience handling workers’ compensation claims, preferably in construction or industrial settings.
- Strong knowledge of workers’ compensation laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficiency in claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the concrete, construction, or heavy equipment industry.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
- Certification in Workers’ Compensation or Risk Management is a plus.
