As a member of the National Safety Council Brundage-Bone Concrete Pumping is committed to providing a safe workplace for all personnel working in and around concrete placement operations. We strive to provide the most skilled and qualified operators in the industry, beginning with our rigorous safety and training programs. All Brundage-Bone operators are OSHA 10 and ACPA trained, and all of our supervisors are OSHA 30 trained.
Our commitment to Believe In Zero is a visual focus on the everyday concrete pumping safety concerns both on and off the job site. We believe that we can eliminate accidents, incidents, and safety concerns by being more aware of the situations that surround us and those who are within the vicinity.
Brundage-Bone is the only concrete pumping company in the nation to have a dedicated full time safety department along with designated safety trainers at each branch location. Our Regional Safety Department sets the bar for the industry standard by providing a robust safety and risk management program including biannual boom inspections. We provide in-house and field safety training for all our employees including site visits and safety seminars for our customers and local ready mix producers.
Jobsite Safety Inspections
Brundage-Bone conducts thorough Jobsite Safety Inspections, investing in the safety or everyone working around a concrete pump. These regular inspections reinforce our safety culture and assure compliance. These safety checks include: PPE; Outrigger pads and appropriate dunnage in use; back-end transition covers secured and in use; power line procedures; safety straps in use; and more.
As an active member of the American Concrete Pumping Association (ACPA), Brundage-Bone promotes the current safety campaign to bring heightened awareness of ASME B30.27, Material Placement Systems—which elevates concrete pumping safety on job sites. The campaign is supported by other industry associations including the American Society of Concrete Contractors, Concrete Foundations Association and Concrete Tilt-Up Association.
The B30.27 standard requires accountability and cooperation among all trades on a concrete pumping site. The We Are Safer Together microsite is a one-stop resource to help pumpers and contractors understand their responsibilities prescribed by the standard.
