BBCP Participates With Dominican Home Health Agency

“The Denver Special Projects Division of PCL Construction recently teamed with our industry partners; Ready Mixed Concrete, Brundage Bone, and Blue Ribbon Concrete to help the Dominican Home Health Agency (DHHA), a local nonprofit charity to enhance their place of business. All work and materials were donated in this effort.
Dominican Home Health Agency has been serving the Denver Metro area for 95 years! Its mission is to provide in-home nursing and community health care to vulnerable, frail seniors and disabled adults, helping them to remain in their homes independently. DHHA serves all regardless of ability to pay. Allen Ross serves as Board Chair and Dan Grey, MS, RN is Administrator.
The agency has three main programs: 1) In-Home Nursing Care; 2) Wellness Clinics in 18 low-income senior and disabled housing sites; and 3) Durable Medical Equipment Loans.
The campus’ old cracked concrete walking surface has seen a lot of years and countless footsteps. It was long overdue for replacement to support access to the many people in need of the resources provided by DHHA. The repairs enhance foot traffic safety for staff and guests throughout the year. The improvements include a new ADA ramp, new steps, 120 feet of new sidewalk, a large wash room, and a 750 square foot exterior patio space.
There were many contributions to this project:
Concrete demolition was performed by the local Boy Scout Troop 140, trenching and rock removal by local professionals, grading and formwork by PCL, concrete provided by Ready Mixed Concrete, concrete pumping by Brundage Bone, and concrete finishing by Blue Ribbon Concrete.
A huge thank you goes out to everyone involved to make this such a great success!!”
