Brundage-Bone Concrete Pumping, Inc. (Brundage-Bone or the Company), a leading provider of concrete pumping services in the United States and United Kingdom, is pleased to announce the acquisition of O’Brien Concrete Pumping, Inc. (O’Brien). O’Brien, which is headquartered near Denver, operates approximately 70 concrete pumps across Colorado and Arizona and has built a strong reputation as an outstanding service provider during its highly distinguished history spanning more than four decades.
The acquisition will deepen Brundage-Bone’s presence across the Rockies and Southwest United States, allowing the Company to expand its differentiated service offering to a broad range of customers in various commercial, residential and infrastructure end-markets. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
“O’Brien is a highly respected business known for its excellent service levels and equipment, and we are ecstatic to welcome O’Brien’s employees to the Brundage-Bone team,” stated Bruce Young, President and Chief Executive Officer of Brundage-Bone. “Richard O’Brien is a true pioneer and visionary in our industry, and we look forward to being proud stewards of his outstanding business in the years to come.”
Matt Homme, Managing Director of Peninsula Pacific, the holder of the majority interest in Brundage-Bone, stated: “O’Brien is another strategically significant addition to Brundage-Bone as part of the Company’s disciplined growth strategy. We will continue to support Bruce and his team as they identify highly regarded concrete pumping businesses that can expand Brundage-Bone’s footprint and deepen its service offering.”
Stephen Alarcon, Vice President of Peninsula Pacific, added: “The acquisition of O’Brien strengthens Brundage-Bone’s presence in Colorado and Arizona, and is an excellent example of the Company’s ability to be a unique platform for growth in the concrete pumping industry.”
O’Brien represents a continuation of Brundage-Bone’s successful acquisition strategy. In 2015, the Company acquired five businesses collectively serving Texas, South Carolina, Tennessee and Alabama, and in 2016 and 2017, it acquired four leading businesses in the United Kingdom, most notably Camfaud Concrete Pumps Limited.
